Supporting Growth, Healing, and Connection
Emily Walter (MMFT, TLMFT) has spent her entire career working with families, parents, caregivers, children, and individuals from various backgrounds helping them navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful goals.
Emily has a deep desire to create a space where clients feel heard, known, and valued. She believes every person has inherent worth and purpose. Her passion is helping families flourish, marriages mend and prosper, and individuals recognize their inherent worth in who they are purposely designed to be. Emily takes a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to therapy, helping clients identify patterns, develop practical skills, and reframe unhelpful narratives in order to foster lasting change.
Emily is especially passionate about the impact strong relationships have on families and communities. She believes that when individuals, couples, and families thrive, entire communities are strengthened.
Outside of therapy, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and children, gathering with friends and family for game nights (she may be a bit competitive), and being involved at church. Her Christian faith is an important part of her life and informs her belief in the dignity, worth, and value of every person. She is also passionate about music and enjoys singing, songwriting, and playing the piano, guitar, and violin. Emily believes music is a powerful way to connect, express emotion, and experience healing.
